About this bark in Bayou de View, Bobby comments: "I find this type of bark scaling to be very interesting. The tree appears to be freshly dead with tight bark. The way the bark is pealed is reminiscent of photos of scaling taken by James Tanner in the Singer Tract, LA in the late 30's. The peeled and debarked areas also show bill mark impressions."
